A message from Tommo:

Good morning, my name is Tommo and I was born on February 1st 1967 in God's country, no, not Trelech but Wales!

I've always wanted to be a Radio Presenter, then, on a cold Sunday in March back in 1995 my prayers were answered, the call up had come for me to join the team at Radio Ceredigion. So, Sunday nights would never be the same again, from 7 til 9pm, my first Radio show. A few months later. lunch time on a Sunday from 12 til 2pm was a little quiet until I arrived!

I worked hard for 5 years as a volunteer until the break I was dreaming of, yes, dreams do come true! In April 2000, all hell broke loose across Ceredigion!!!!! 'The Breakfast Show' 6am till 10am starting as early as 4:30am when I get out of bed in the morning, I'm buzzing all the way to work until I hit the airways, the feeling of switching the mic on to do the first link of the day is as amazing as the first time I ever spoke on air!! The feeling of doing a job that I really love and being able to do something which I enjoy is a genuine dream come true.

My show (which is now from 6-9am) is full of surprises, sometimes I don't know whats going to happen next, it's full of fun items to keep you the listener interested and of course to make you smile in the early hours, the music I play is a wide range of different era's, some old, some new and even some local tracks aswell (new bands welcome). I also try to communicate to the whole family, from the youngsters to their mums, dads and grandparents. I think that it's important to target the whole family so that their all happy with the content of my show.

Competitions:

I do some competitions on air, the ones I really enjoy are the ones when I get the listeners to compete against me live on air, it's great to know that the listeners want to beat me to some of the answers, bring it on!!!

I think that what also makes the breakfast show fun to listen to in the morning is the communication I have with the local issues, traffic news, birthdays (live calls), bride of the week, my up to date weather forecast on the hour (HA HA HA), so to break it all down, I'm your best friend in the morning, lifes to short to worry, wake up with me, Donna won't mind!
